One man created this game based on a trip he took to a national park close to where he lives. In doing so, while far from the perfect adventure game, he did create the most incredible collection of puzzles in any adventure this year.
This game is truly a puzzle lover's fantasy come to life. While the game may have lacked any sort of story or plot, that's not what this award cares about. The puzzles in the game are many in number, diverse in nature, and able to be solved in any order that the gamer desires. There are math puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, memory puzzles, card games, sound puzzles, and all kinds of other mindbenders. The puzzles lend themselves perfectly to the gamer gathering friends and family to assist in the solving.
Whereas so many adventures have a huge problem with puzzles making no sense, sometimes going so far as to frustrate the gamer into hitting the power switch and ditching the game, this game is nothing short of addictive in its puzzles. We congratulate Peter Hewitt for his incredible work on this game. Even with its shortcomings, Xiama still deserves to be played by every gamer.
