Maze Tute - Part 2 - Texturing using 3D Canvas

The plan is to texture all the internal walls.

This is the end result we are aiming for.

Re-colour the tops of the walls.

The idea behind all this colouring in is to make it very easy to select whole sections of our maze at one click.

Time to load our hedge texture - you can download it here.

In the Material Palette, click on the Primary Texture tab and load the hedge texture.

Now select all the walls facing front ...
... and apply the hedge texture.
Now we find out how good you are with the navigator ... change your viewpoint until the closest wall almost fills the screen.
Click on the Operation adjust Tool and then click on the wall.
Now for the tricky part - the texture has been stretched to fit over all the selected walls - we need to scale it back.

You do this by dragging to the left from the darker grey triangle as shown - keep going till the leaves look ok then you'll probably need to drag down a little so the soil shows at the bottom before releasing the mouse.

Please note that when working on your larger maze, you should do this dragging quite slowly else the results can be unpredictable.

This is what you are aiming for.
We don't need texture on the outside so make it brown.

Now repeat the above for the other three directions.

Replace your maze3.X with this better version.
