This is a very clever puzzle from Sam Loyd.
All you have to do is to arrange the six pieces to make the best possible picture of a horse.
To quote Sam Loyd: "That is all there is to it, but the entire world laughed for a year
at the many grotesque representations of a horse that can be made with those six pieces."
He sold over one thousand million copies of "The Pony Puzzle".
In actual fact, my turtle version is a lot easier. Some pieces require turning - when you click on such a piece, it will turn the correct amount for you. Try to resist the "Solution" button - like most of Loyd's puzzles there is a surprising and elegant solution. |
