mulawa development diary
  • 21-dec-05 Another year almost gone! And I'm pleased to announce a new set of tutorials designed for beginners with the progamming language, BlitzBasic. This is what I use all the time these days.
  • 1-jun-05 Last month my mother failed to make her 91st birthday by just one day! I have prepared this page in her memory. The poem is by my daughter Simone - I treasure the strength she gave me.
  • 23-jan-05 After spending most of Christmas getting back into my magic, I've added a new cyber miracle for you: Sight Unseen
  • 4-may-04 Bryce for Beginners Tutorials made public.
  • 12-apr-03 Magnetic was finished last month so I've had time to do some housekeeping here at Mulawa - mainly dealing with broken links. As a follow up to my adventure games I'm toying with the idea of creating a tutorial series on game creation aimed at complete beginners - e-mail me if you would be interested - if there's enough interest I might go for it.
  • 1-aug-02 The Magnetic Website is launched with a promise of an update on the First of EVERY month.
  • 27-jul-02 www.mulawa.net finally has a permanent home at the wonderful Burton Hosting - I now have plenty of space and some very powerful facilites at my disposal.
  • 22-jun-02 All turtle projects changed to use the new Microworlds Player plugin. This is a result of Microsoft's incredible decision to dump plugin support from IE 5.5 2nd edition onwards.
  • 10-mar-02 A Big Breakthrough with the Flashing Magician on my "for Magicians" Page - now OK on Internet Explorer!
  • 20-sep-01 Let me tell you about my amazing Uncle launching into Cyberspace at 90 years of age: Our Uncle Norm - an inspirational tale.
  • 12-aug-01 Improved the Cryptic Acrostic Puzzles - the acrostic and the clues have been separated to make printing easier.
  • 24-mar-01 Hey! Something new and very exciting at mulawa - check out what is he talking about?.
  • 17-nov-00 Spent the day tidying up "mulawa" - you know - the little things that you never get round to :o)    Basically I now have all the ideas in place that were in my mind when I started this site just over two years ago so it's unlikely you'll see anything new appear. Most of my time now goes to adventure game creation - a very demanding occupation.
  • 25-aug-00 Bringing you up-to-date - my adventure game - the final chapter.
  • 26-mar-00 Thank you for checking but development at mulawa has stopped while I concentrate on the creation of my Adventure Game.
  • 29-jan-00 My Favourite Magic Links.
  • 11-dec-99 Noticed the slow down in development? Check out "mulawa adventure" for a partial explanation.
  • 13-nov-99 There are now ten "mutating jigsaw puzzles" - but that's all because they require too much space. They were all created using Macromedia's Fireworks.
  • 5-oct-99 Following on from the snowflakes idea: have a look at "turtle batik". Once again you'll need the MicroWorlds plugin.
  • 4-sep-99 Who said "Fractions, Decimals & Percentages" couldn't be fun?
  • 7-aug-99 I have started a "For Magicians" section.
  • 31-jul-99 In response to many requests: A JavaScript Tutorial. Even if you don't wish to learn JavaScript, you may enjoy a game of Concentration.
  • 7-may-99 The Necklace Puzzle.
  • 19-mar-99 Many have asked for some Turtle Project Tutorials - here they are - enjoy.
  • 30-jan-99 I've been looking for a way to show you what our creek really looks like then I found the Lake Java Applet. Please note that this uses Java and is about 100K in size BUT it's well worth the wait!
  • 22-dec-98 The model computer section is now complete. Even if SimCom isn't for you, you may enjoy A Game of NIM.
  • 28-nov-98 The maths section continues to grow with the addition of Pentominoes ... enjoy!
  • 14-Nov-98 Internet launch!smilie
