Each month there'll be some random thoughts here and a sneaky "keyhole" peek at a scene from the actual game.

I'd like to be able to tell you that every part of Magnetic is completely original - would that I were that clever! I spend hours searching the Web for inspiration and often find it in the strangest places. One of the real joys of this project is the many people I have approached via the Internet with a request to use a variation of one of their ideas. In every case except one I have received very helpful and encouraging replies and, as a result, have met some really neat folk.

I'd like to digress this month and tell you about my latest venture with Xiama. Shona has started to design and make "necklaces of distinction" for our local craft market every Sunday. I decided that it would be fun to sell Xiama as well. The Council is very strict about only allowing original work to be offered at the market - they had some difficulty coming to terms with the idea of a "computer game" being local and original. But as you can see, Xiama was accepted.
